RESULTS OF THE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING, CHANGES TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND
SALIENT DATES OF THE DISTRIBUTION OUT OF SHARE PREMIUM
1. Results of the annual general meeting
Shareholders are advised that, at the annual general meeting of Ellerines held
at the registered office of the company today, all the resolutions were passed
by the requisite majority of shareholders present or represented by proxy
thereat.
The special resolution will be submitted for registration at the Registrar of
Companies in due course.
2. Changes to the board of directors
In compliance with section 3.59 of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements,
Ellerines shareholders are advised that Mr T J Chalmers, a non-executive
director of Ellerines, has retired from the board of directors with immediate
effect. The board wishes to thank Mr Chalmers for his valuable contributions
during his tenure as non-executive director of Ellerines.
3. Salient dates of the distribution out of share premium
Shareholders are referred to the consolidated audited results announcement for
the year ended 31 August 2006 dated 6 November 2006, wherein it was mentioned
that a distribution out of share premium of 112.9 cents per share ("the
distribution") would be declared subject to shareholder approval at the annual
general meeting. Pursuant to the annual general meeting held today in which the
appropriate approval was obtained, the salient dates of the distribution are as
follows:

Last day to trade in order to participate
in the distribution on Friday, 26 January
Shares trade ex the distribution from Monday, 29 January
Record date in order to participate in the
distribution on Friday, 2 February
Posting of cheques or electronic bank
transfers in respect of certificated
shareholders on Monday, 5 February
Safe custody accounts credited and updated
at CSDP or broker in respect of
shareholders who have dematerialised their
shares on Monday, 5 February
Note: Share certificates may not be dematerialised or rematerialised
between Monday, 29 January 2007 and Friday, 2 February 2007.
