TRADING STATEMENT
Further to the trading statement issued by Distell Group Limited ("Distell") on
Tuesday, 16 January 2007, shareholders of KWV Investments are advised that for
the 6 months ended 31 December 2006 the headline earnings per share ("HEPS") and
earnings per share is expected to be between 55% and 65% higher than that of the
comparative interim period ended 31 December 2005.
According to Distell`s trading statement the increase is largely attributable to
an improvement in trading income and reduced financing costs.
On an adjusted basis, i.e. before taking into account the non-recurring portion
of BEE costs of R22.0 million in the comparative period, HEPS is expected to be
between 20% and 30% higher than the HEPS of the comparative interim period ended
31 December 2005.
The financial information on which Distell`s trading statement of
16 January 2007 is based has not been reviewed or reported on by Distell`s
auditors.
