RESIGNATION FROM MVELA RESOURCES BOARD
In compliance with paragraph 3.59 of the JSE Listings Requirements, Mvela
Resources announces that Clyde Johnson has resigned as an executive director on
the Mvela Resources board, effective today, 17 January 2007.
Mr Johnson intends to pursue opportunities in the Minerals and Mining Sector and
devote more time to his role as Chairman of the South African Mining Development
Association (SAMDA) and of Sedibeng Mining (Pty) Limited.
The board of Mvela Resources would like to thank Mr Johnson for his contribution
to the company as a key member of the executive management team and a member of
its board since 10 March 2004, and wishes him well in his future pursuits.
