Stephen Davidson appointed as non-executive Director
Datatec Limited ("Datatec" or "the Group", JSE and LSE: DTC), the
international Information & Communications Technology (ICT) group, announces
the appointment of Mr Stephen Davidson as a non-executive Director to the
Board of Datatec with effect from 1 February 2007.
Stephen James Davidson, aged 51, is Chairman of SPG Media Group PLC,
Enteraction TV Limited and Digital Marketing Group plc. He is also a non-
executive Director of Inmarsat plc, Betex Group plc and EBT Mobile China plc.
Stephen has held various positions in Investment Banking, most recently at
WestLB Panmure where he was Global Head of Media and Telecoms, Investment
Banking, then Vice Chairman of Investment Banking.
From 1993 to 1998 Mr Davidson was Finance Director, then CEO of Telewest
Communications plc. He was Chairman of the Cable Communications Association
from 1996 to 1998.
Mr Davidson holds a 1st Class Hons in Mathematics and Statistics from the
University of Aberdeen.
Mr Davidson will also serve as a member of the audit, compliance and risk
committee and the remuneration and nomination committee.

Mr Davidson was appointed as a director of Broadreach Networks Limited ("BRN")
and Broadreach Trains Services Limited ("BTSL") in March 2004 and June 2004
respectively. BTSL was a 100 per cent owned subsidiary of BRN. Mr Davidson
resigned as a director of both companies in April 2005. Both businesses were
placed in administration in October 2005.
