FURTHER CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT
Shareholders are referred to the announcement dated 14 December 2006 notifying
them that AMAP had concluded an agreement with Steinhoff Africa Holdings Limited
("Steinhoff Africa") for the acquisition of Steinhoff Africa`s South African
furniture manufacturing interests ("the Steinfurn acquisition"). With regards
to the Steinfurn acquisition, comprehensive sale agreements are in the process
of being finalised.
In addition, the announcement stated that AMAP is at an advanced stage of
discussions with a leading international white goods company to acquire its
southern African interests. These discussions are ongoing.
Until such time as financial effects of the Steinfurn acquisition and details of
the abovementioned discussions are announced, shareholders are advised to
continue to exercise caution when dealing in their AMAP shares.
