Director`s appointment and change in duties
Pursuant to par 3.59 (b) of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, the
Company hereby informs shareholders that, effective 1 March 2007 and in line
with her personal career goals, Jackie Martingano, the Group Financial Director
and Company Secretary, will move into the role of an Executive Director with
operational and commercial responsibilities. Jackie has been with the Company
for 18 years and has in-depth knowledge of the industry and the business, which
will be put to use in her new function to improve operational efficiency and
extract value from the various business units in AGI. She will continue to
report directly to the CEO, Alex Barrell.
Robin Braithwaite will be appointed both Group Financial Director and Company
Secretary effective 1 March 2007. Robin is a CA (SA) who has for the past ten
years fulfilled the role as Group Financial Director of Dunlop Tyres
International (Proprietary) Limited. Prior to that he gained experience as a
Divisional Financial Director in various large listed entities, such as Dorbyl
Limited and the Tongaat Hulett Group. He brings with him a wealth of experience
in financial management which will further enhance the financial function and
the Board.
