TRADING UPDATE
Shareholders are advised that attributable and headline earnings per share for
the half year ended 31 December 2006 are anticipated to be between R10,20 and
R11,20 based on a weighted average of 27,1 million Assore shares in issue (6
months to 31 December 2005: attributable and headline earnings were R5,24 per
Assore share based on 28,0 million Assore shares in issue). The increase
resulted mainly from higher sales volumes and a weaker Rand/US dollar exchange
rate during the period.
The above earnings forecast information has not been reviewed or reported on by
the Assore group`s auditors and the interim results for the six months ended 31
December 2006 are expected to be published before the end of February 2007.
