ISSUE OF NEDBANK PREFERENCE SHARES
As part of Nedbank`s ongoing proactive capital management processes, and
dependent on prevalent market conditions, Nedbank intends issuing up to R1
billion of non-core Tier 1 non-redeemable, non-cumulative preference shares in
April 2007 ("the issue"). The issue will rank pari passu with Nedbank preference
shares already in issue.
The market will be advised of further details regarding the terms and conditions
of the issue in due course.
