Sanlam Trading Statement - 2006 Financial Results
Headline Earnings per share for the 2006 financial year will be between 30%
and 35% higher than in 2005. This expected full year performance is better
than previously estimated, mainly due to the impact of the performance of
the South African equity markets during the last 2 months of 2006 and the
improved operating profit resulting from that.
Shareholders are advised that the results referred to in this trading
statement have not been reviewed or reported on by Sanlam`s auditors.
The final results for 2006 are due to be released on 8 March 2007.
