CONFIRMATION OF SALIENT DATES AND TIMES IN RESPECT OF PROPOSED SCHEME OF
ARRANGEMENT
Barplats shareholders are referred to the joint announcement released on SENS on
1 March 2007 and published in the press on 2 March 2007 ("the announcement")
relating to Eastern Platinum Limited`s ("Eastplats") offer and the scheme
arrangement in terms of section 311 of the Companies Act No. 61 of 1973, as
amended, as proposed by Eastplats between Barplats and all of its ordinary
shareholders, excluding certain excluded parties ("the scheme"), as more fully
set out in the announcement.
Barplats shareholders are advised that the salient dates and times as they
appeared in the announcement have not changed. Any change will however be
communicated to shareholders in the South African press and on SENS should same
arise.
The circular to Barplats shareholders providing full details as to the scheme,
and action that such shareholders should take, will be posted by registered mail
to all Barplats shareholders tomorrow, Friday, 23 March 2007.
