    Vodacom and PCM creator head to SCA
    According to The Star, Vodacom Group and Please Call Me (PCM) creator, Nkosana Makate are headed to the Supreme Court of Appeal (SCA) on November 18, 2025 to bring the more than two decade battle to finality. The November Supreme Court case comes nearly 25 years since the Please Call Me was first invented.

    The matter was referred back to the Supreme Court of Appeal following an appeal, by Vodacom of the February 2024 SCA judgement. The SCA had ordered Vodacom to pay Makate between 5% and 7% of revenue generated over the past 18 years. Vodacom appealed this decision to the ConCourt.
