Datatec - finalisation & scrip dividend ratio
Datatec shareholders are advised that the finalisation of the special cash dividend of 2900 cents per ordinary share and the scrip distribution alternative is now complete, with the record date being Friday, 16 October 2026. Shareholders who elected to receive the scrip distribution alternative are entitled to 57.28241 new shares per 100 Datatec Ordinary Shares held, calculated by reference to the ratio of 2900 cents to the 30-day volume-weighted average price less the dividend amount, where fractions of a share are rounded down and paid out in cash. The cash payment for fractions will be based on the VWAP on 14 October 2026 (ex-dividend date), discounted by 10%, with details announced on SENS on 15 October 2026. No Dividend Withholding Tax applies to the scrip distribution or fractional cash payments, though the special dividend may have tax implications. The relevant payment application received South African Reserve Bank approval on 26 August 2026.
