BHP - quarterly activities report
BHP reported strong operational performance for the nine months ending 31 March 2026, driven by record material mined and throughput at Escondida and WAIO. Copper production is expected to be in the upper half of FY26 guidance, with increased output at Antamina and progress on growth projects, including Escondida's new concentrator. Iron ore production rose 2% to 197 million tonnes, with Samarco at the top end of guidance. The company realised approximately USD4.8 billion from divestments, including Antamina and Carajas. Cost guidance has been improved, notably at Escondida, and disciplined capital management continues. Brandon Craig will succeed Mike Henry as CEO from 1 July 2026, bringing extensive operational experience.
